Monkey's Story
Monkey by name, Monkey by nature…meet our resident cheeky “Monkey!”
Monkey was originally purchased as a family pet and was surrendered to BAWCS as a stallion in September 2015, when his family moved into town.
He’s a miniature horse (not a pony) and on arriving at BAWCS Sanctuary was immediately gelded. With a mane to rival Tina Turner, our spunky boy is always curious to see what’s happening and to make sure he isn’t missing out on any food.
Monkey currently shares his paddock with Phantom, another miniature horse, who he likes to boss around being the younger boy!
Anyone that has horses will tell you how they need a lot of care including farrier and equine dentist visits, and of course regular worming.
Monkey will remain in the safe care at BAWCS Sanctuary for the rest of his days and is available to sponsor for as little as a one time only contribution of $30 for 3 months.
