Do you love animals and have an interest in animal welfare?
Are you willing to get your hands dirty for a good cause?
BAWCS has a limited number of volunteer positions available in our Adoption Cattery, and as a Farm Friends Carer in our Farm Friends Program.
We are looking for volunteers who are dedicated and reliable. You must be able to commit to at least one 3hr morning shift (9am to 12 Noon), once a week for a period of 3 months. You do need to be reasonably fit as the work is quite physically demanding, however it is very rewarding and you get to interact with the many animals in our care.
ALL VOLUNTEERS MUST BE 18 YEARS OF AGE (if under 18, show your support by fundraising or becoming a Farm Friends sponsor) and it is essential that you have your own transport (our shelter is located out of town and is not accessible by public transport).
BAWCS welcomes inquires in regard to Corporate Volunteering and Work Placement for students enrolled in Animal Studies. Please note: we are currently unable to offer work experience for students under the age of 18 years.
If you would like to apply to volunteer in our Adoption Cattery, as a Farm Friends Carer or assist us in other areas, please complete the online Volunteer Application Form by clicking the Apply Now button below, or Contact Us for more information.
BAWCS is a registered “Work for the Dole” Host organisation.
