Reuniting pets that have been impounded.

BAWCS Community Pets Support Program recently stepped in to help reunite two beloved cats with their owner after they were impounded.

The cats had already spent several days in the Pound and were approaching the end of the 8-day holding period meaning their future was becoming uncertain.

Their owner was going through a difficult time, facing health challenges, unable to drive, and struggling with circumstances that made it impossible to reclaim them earlier.

With each passing day, the cost of reclaiming continued to rise, adding further pressure to an already overwhelming situation.

The total impound and reclaim costs were over $400, with the owner able to contribute $100 toward bringing her cats home, leading to a much needed reunion.

If you’re struggling with affording the reclaim fee on your impounded pet, please reach out to BAWCS.

If you’re not wanting your cat to end up in the Pound, please DM BAWCS your postal address and we’ll send you our free “Turning your outdoor cat into a safe and happy indoor cat” kit.
