Mr Bates' Story
At around 12 years old, Mr Bates found himself alone in a rural pound, the worst place for a senior. He had just 8 days for someone to come forward to reclaim him but no one did. With his age and the likelihood of age-related health issues, his future was uncertain.
But fate had other plans.
We were thrilled when Mr Bates made it through to the adoption list and despite advising a long list of medical issues, our vet determined Mr Bates didn’t need a big dental and the main health issue was high blood pressure which is easily managed. Yes, he has a heart murmur but he is showing no effects at this time.
Mr Bates is now friends with resident Blue, enjoying a relaxed life of eating, sleeping, lying in the sunshine and getting lots of love and pats from our volunteers.
A super sweet senior and our latest to join our permanent residents Program.
