Adoption Story
SMOKEY SHORT EARS has been adopted! At nearly 15 years of age, he is one of our more senior cats available for adoption. Sadly, his previous family moved interstate without him but this beautiful sensitive soul found himself safe in BAWCS care. He has faced some health challenges since arriving into our care over a year ago, when he needed surgery to remove the tips of his ears due to sun cancer. More recently, he was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and now requires daily medication to manage this condition. We were thrilled when his new “mum” was willing to look beyond these things to give our old boy a loving and relaxed retirement home where he will be given lots of love and regular veterinary checks to keep him feeling his best. We will miss this special boy (especially at feed time when he became quite vocal!) but we look forward to hearing regular updates.
